John Dunham has been Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care at Valley Presbyterian since October of 1999. He received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University and his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Prior to coming to Valley Presbyterian, John served the First Presbyterian Church of Batavia, New York from 1973 to 1999, the last nineteen years as Senior Pastor. In ministry, John is thankful for the privilege and calling to share the grace and mercy of Jesus Christ with others. At Valley Presbyterian , along with general pastoral duties, he is the Pastor resource person to the Deacons, the Prayer Ministry team, the Network of Caring (shepherding ministry, and, as a Stephen Leader, he serves on the Stephen Ministry leadership team. One of his favorite Bible passages is from John 1:5 “…God is light; in him there is no darkness at all.”
